Darius Eddie Winn

August 24, 1994 - April 25, 2024

Darius Eddie Winn was the baby boy born to the union of Edward L. Winn Sr., and Felica D. McCargo on August 24, 1994.

Darius in his early years participated in youth basketball with the Okmulgee County YMCA, football for the OJFA and, also played as the point guard for Preston Pirates Junior High school Preston, Oklahoma

Darius attend Okmulgee and Preston’s School during his elementary years and graduated from Muskogee High School in 2013. After completing high school, he attendant Connors State University graduating with an associate degree in Business Administration. Darius later enrolled into the Mortuary Science program at the University of Central Oklahoma where he had aspiration of becoming a licensed funeral director and embalmer.

Darius had a courageous smile that would brighten up any room. He loved his family tremendously. He loved family gatherings and time with his friends.  Darius had a love for being in tune with nature. Most mornings you could catch him laying out in the yard in meditating and preparing for the day. Darius had a love for natural foods and daily work outs.

Darius had a heart for serving, for several years he served alongside his dad and brother with the House of Winn Funeral Home. When not working at the funeral home, Darius was spending time with his forever best friend and mother. Darius loved his Texas Longhorns, and many times you would see him wearing his orange.

On the early morning of April 25, 2024, Daruis Eddie Winn slipped into enteral rest. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Acil and Eddie Winn, Shirley McCargo, Curtis Thompson, and Freddie Pete. his aunts; LaTonna James, LaDonna McCargo, Amelia Thomas, Lee Lyons, Pearlie Hayes, Wynola Winn, and Virgie Winn- Irving; uncles, Louis Winn, and Samuel Winn.

Darius leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved son, Elliott James Harris, Broken Arrow, OK. his parents Edward L. David Winn Sr., of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Felicia D. McCargo, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. his brothers Walter H. Harrison, of Okmulgee, Ok; Edward L. David Winn II “D2”, of Muskogee, OK; Fredrick D. Harrison and Corey R. (Ashley) Harrison both of Yukon, Oklahoma. his grandmother Nancy Redeau , of Beggs, Ok. His Aunts Imogene Edwards, Wichita, Kansas; Michelle McCargo; of Okmulgee, OK; Saundra Reran, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Charlotte Beard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Shelly Rhodes, McKinney, Texas. his uncles Micheal McCargo, Germany; and Kent Rhodes, Tulsa, Oklahoma. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

A Home Going Service is scheduled Saturday, May 4, 2024, 11:00 a.m., First Baptist Church South, 8150 Highway 16, Beggs, OK; with Elder Jackie Jones delivering the eulogy.  Interment will follow in Okmulgee Cemetery, Okmulgee, OK.
