OKFDA Is Coming to Your Region for Fall Regional Meetings—Register Today!
“Communicating the Value of Today’s Funeral Professional” will be the continuing education program presented at our 2026 Fall Regional Meetings. Attendees will receive one hour of continuing education credit.
Funeral service is a profession in transition. As families increasingly question the need for funeral ceremonies—and the role of funeral directors—professionals must be prepared to clearly communicate the essential value they provide.
Based on Dr. Alan D. Wolfelt’s article, “10 Reasons to Use a Funeral Director,” this course will explore the funeral director’s vital role as a guide, educator, and caregiver. Participants will learn how meaningful funeral ceremonies help families begin the mourning process and why funeral professionals remain essential in helping individuals and communities navigate loss.
